Minimum Requirements for Applicants

This topic outlines the current minimum requirements for any individual who would like to be considered for a role within the Minecraft server network. The requirements are fundamentally the same for both Moderators and Administrators, however there is a natural set of additional requirements of which an Administrator would need to satisfy where a Moderator would not.

Role Definitions:

Moderator - The moderators on our network have the ability to look after our community and ensure the rules are being followed and where required enforce such rules on our player base. These are trusted members of the community who have proven themselves to be worthy of such trust.

Administrators - Our Administrators have ultimate access and authority throughout the network. Their word should be treated as law and will have the final say on any issues that may arise while playing on our network. These users have proven themselves as exceptionally trust worthy, and are entrusted with ensuring the smooth running of the entire network.

Requirements (Moderators):

For moderators there are the following requirements that we have before you may consider posting an application.

Play Time: We would expect a minimum of 40 Hours played on the server. Ideally this time would be spread relatively evenly throughout the network.
Discord: We would expect the member to be in Discord, and an active member of the Discord community.
Forums: We would expect the member to have a Forum account, which would be at least 4 weeks old, and an active member of this community.
Endorsement: We would expect an endorsement from an existing member of staff. While this can be waived in exceptional circumstances, it is few and far between.
Community Standing: We would expect you to have a positive impact on the general community, and certainly not somebody that other members would strongly object to you holding this role, this may be hard to quantify, but should be something you can judge before applying.
Time to dedicate: We ultimately are asking you to help us look after the community, and that does mean we’re going to need some of your time. We would really be asking for you to be able to dedicate between 5 and 10 hours per week on average.

Requirements (Administrators):

The key requirement for Administrators is that they are an existing Moderator, The ATLAS Staff Team may waive this in exceptional circumstances, however it is expected you meet all of the above criteria above before even reading on to the additional criteria.

Play Time: We would expect a minimum of 200 Hours played on the server. Ideally this time would be spread relatively evenly throughout the network.
Endorsement: We would expect an endorsement from an existing Administrator. In addition to this we would also expect endorsements from other members and Moderators.
Moderator Experience: We would expect you to either have previous experience on other servers which we can validate, or a minimum of 6 months moderator experience with us. If you have strong previous experience we would be willing to accept a shorter term of experience as a moderator with us.
Time To Dedicate: Similar to the moderators role, we would need you to be able to dedicate some serious time to look after the community. With becoming an Administrator we would generally expect you to need to dedicate a bit more time than the moderators, somewhere between probably 8 and 15 hours per week on average ideally.
A Willing to mentor: Our administrators ultimately mentor our moderators on how they can help look after our community, while we need excellent administrators, often they are made by those with more experience than them, so helping the less experienced staff team is a key role of the administrators on the network.

This is not an exhaustive list, but is the minimum we would come to expect from our team. If you think you meet those criteria and have something to bring to the server, then we would love to see an application from you!
